This class is a 3 day course for people with sewing experience who want to start making corsets.
You will learn how to create your own perfectly fitted underbust corset, using a ready to wear pattern. After completing the class you will have a beautiful and well fitting underbust corset as well as a customised corset pattern to take home with you.
The lessons include taking measurements, adjusting patterns, getting familiar with, choosing and handling corset materials, making and fitting a mock-up and learning all corsetmaking techniques to create your own designs in the future.
Small class sizes, a professionally equipped friendly studio environment and personal tuition by Barbara Pesendorfer will make this a fun and informative experience for anyone who wants to explore the fascinating world of corsetry.

All materials you will need to create a single layer underbust corset
A booklet with instructions, a list of suppliers for corsetry materials and a list of book recommendations for further reading
Access to all machines and tools you will need to make a corset
Tea, coffee and snacks to enjoy at the breaks

3 days; from 9am - 6pm daily,
including 1 hour lunch break

Once enough people have signed up, I will schedule this class in English language.
Solid sewing skills: You should have sewn at least several garments and be comfortable with working on a sewing machine and handling fabrics.
Experience with wearing and/or making corsets is not necessary.
